Hi, all

Some of you would know that I have just paid a deposit on a 53 plate is200 SE

Is it difficult to swap the SE steering wheel for the sports steering wheel? Would the airbag cause a problem or is it a direct swap?

As far as I'm aware aren't they exactly the same apart from the colour?

There's 2 bolts in the sides of the airbag, after there out the airbag pulls out of the wheel. It then needs disconnecting which is 1 clip. After that there's a big bolt which holds the wheel on. Loosen it but don't take it all the way off. to remove the steering wheel loosen the central retaining nut a few threads and give a strong hit to the back of the wheel to release it.
by pulling you are compressing the steering wheel tilt adjuster.
dont forget to disconnect the battery (just incase the airbag goes off) and make sure the wheels are straight before you remove the original wheel.

Just asking but why would you want to swap the wheel I find the SE one in black looks a lot nicer then the 2 tone wheel in the sport

I like the slight break up in colour. Am I right in thinking the sport wheel is thicker?
I love the feel of a thicker wheel. Look, it even rhymes, lol.
