Aside from having a squeak from the front when braking I also need some new discs on the car. I'm thinking of going for these instead of emptying the bank account for OEM parts:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320861283333?s...1423.l2649

Also being as this is my first ever brake job (and I'm brickin it), what other tools will I need and does anyone have any tips?

Socket set, small screw driver, big screwdriver or a lever, should be all you need.

How about greases and tools for compressing the pistons? Are those EBC parts OK BTW? Was thinking of Mintex pads with EBC discs otherwise, as there seems to be mixed reviews on the greenstuffs.

Green stuffs are good but a little dusty I found.

As for tools for pushing the pistons back, that's what the levers for.
You will need some copper slip to grease the back of the pads your right.

Ahh right, would a breaker bar do the trick do you think?

I skipped the greenstuffs in the end and went for mintex. Worked out quite well as I ended up avoiding eBay and going to camskill where I got discs and pads for £150.

Will grab some copper slip too. Do I need anything for the wear sensors?

Much appreciated mateSmile I may well take you up on that as I don't want to fudge up something so serious!

O/T I just realised I ordered the wrong discs from camskill (rear rather than front). Fronts were £40 more expensive, but when I called to cancel the order they offered to change the order over for nothing!

Got my discs and pads through today. The discs are different to the OEM ones in that OEM has vents on the front, whereas the EBC's have vents on the back. Anything to give a hoot about?

I'd check your back pads for seizing in the calipers like the is200 used to
