I recently bought an AEM 30-4900 afr and I am wondering we're the wideband sensor should be located. I've read the instructions and they say 18inches downstream from the exhaust port,I've also read previous threads were they'
say it should be we're the two downpipes join together, but that's near enough in front of the underfloor cat.
Does it mater if the sensor is only on one of the downpipes or would it effect the reading?
Cheers

If its only on one of the banks you'll only get a reading for that bank of the engine

Minimum of 18 inch from the downport because on a turbo the gas could be too hot,

You want it under the car once the pipes have joined together but before the cat.

Thanks for the reply's, thought as much, something else to do over the bank holiday weekend?
Stav,I hear your the person to talk to about wiring up the emanage ultimate, I've been labelling the wires before I install and was wondering about the knock sensor wires. On the wiring diagrams it shows knock signal 1/water temp as the same wire but it goes to 2 different locations on the Ecu location chart,is this optional , I.e knock signal OR water temp. If you know what I mean. Cheers

Yeah it's one or the other. You change a jumper inside the unit to select which you've chosen.
