IS200 1g-fe upgrade Rods and Pistons to 1g-GTE
Im new to this forum so i appologize in advance if this is in the wrong area or theres already a thread like this,
Im going to be getting a turbo kit for the is200 1g-fe and noticed alot of talk about the 1g-gte Rods and pistons being put in to allow more power,
Im just wondering if anyone here has done this actually change and if theres any issues with bore size from wear and tear. As in the pistons and rods not fitting due to the wear and tear being different to my engine.
If anyone could shed some light on this that would be awesome!
Also if the installation was hard or not?

I'm pretty sure it's the rings that wear rather than the actual pistons themselves. You'd obviously need new rings and bearings when fitting the gte rods and pistons.
