James S Does having the sport models LSD help in the snow? My car is next to useless in the snow and would like to sort it out. Is it worth getting a sport diff fitted?Yes, the LSD helps. Without it all power is transferred to the wheel with the least traction, which means one of your wheels will spin if you get stuck, the other wheel will do nothing at all. An LSD prevents this from happening.

Though I have read if that happens, put the handbrake on a bit, creates torque in the spinning wheel so sends power to the other.
