As above winter tyres is all you need, or get some snow socks.
It's not the car's fault, it's like trying to walk on snow in leather soled dress shoes.

The Torsen won't help though will it? As its a torque multiplier and if one wheels got no grip so zero torque, zero times anything is still zero.
Though I have read if that happens, put the handbrake on a bit, creates torque in the spinning wheel so sends power to the other.

Yep should help keep you going but makes the back end twitchy cause the power can be shifting from side to side.
