Just wondering if some one has made the diy charger cradle and if I could get a list of parts needed with price.

Also what bhp can I run standard ecu etc.?

Thanks in advance.

There are afew of us that have made our own cradles.

Your will need:
Cradle
Merc Supercharger
130mm pulley
lots of piping
front mount intercooler
some sort of bypass valve
FCD or one of Patricks black boxes.

That should be good enough for around 200ish bhp (same as the TTE kit).

Some questions for ya.

1. What size belt.
2. Can I just blank off the valve and use a dump valve instead.
3. What model merc does the eaton m62 come from its the short nose is that correct.
4. Does the 130 mm pully come from a supra and how to i fit it.
5. When I fit the setup what else will I need to do like boost pressure etc.

I will be running standard ecu for the moment what gain can I expect

Don't knowthe belt size, someone will
I'd use the valve as its better but a dump valve can be used, use the hks ssqv as its a better design for low boost
You need the short nose
The pulley attaches to the water pulley, take off the black cover and bolt it on
The boost pressure is in relation to the pulley sizes so should give you about 0.3 bar

You'll need a black box to stop you hitting fuel cut but that's all

im running a 138mm pulley from a merc.
was on a hks fcd,ran lumpy, swapped for one of patriks black boxes, runs as smooth as now.
i had a dump valve instead of a bypass but was horrible, with overrun and boost surge an the likes.
made up a bypass with some pipe and a vacuum bypass valve from a mini supercharger, works well enough.
electric clutch wired up to a swith near my *** lighter so can be turnred on and off.
happy building, took me about 18 month,in me kitchen to cook things up.:crying:

Pretty much the same as this for me, although Im using a 130mm pulley off a Merc, but I have a 160mm waiting to go on from another Merc

took me about 2 months of weekends to get everything on the car running, and the last 2 years playing with it to make it better

Just want to bump this, has anyone actually managed to get a load of replica TTE cradles made?

The belt is a 5PK790 a little hard to find in the uk but can order from eBay pretty easy.

You can get a cradle made but you need someone's original and getting it copied is expensive and can take a week or so in that time someone had to run their is200 without one and I doubt you will get many volunteers for that.

You need lots of cradle orders to make it worth getting reproduction remember a thread from years ago when someone kept trying get a load of orders in my eyes it's the biggest challenge.

£200 for the charger
£200 for the intercooler and pipe work
£70 for the black box
£300 to get the cradle copied + finding one not in use
£20 for the belt
£100 for a custom made pulley

I say your looking at a cool grand bit by bit

Looked into this many times

Ordered a charger for £1100 arrived wed was on the car Friday fully finished Monday

Still hard but all the parts searching is hard if you ask me

But a great challenge I guess

That sounds just as expensive as getting a cradle made from scratch. What snout length are you using?

I'm still waiting for a cradle from a guy in Belgium who wrote off a charged IS200. He's been trying to get it copied over there before he sends it though, but it's been a long time with no progress.
