My new boot build.
My new boot build.
Whilst scrolling through eBay yesterday i came across something i couldn't pass on.
a fully constructed boot build for an IS200.
now i know these cost a few quid to make so i had to message him and see if i could get it on the cheap
a few messages and a phone call later... it was mine!!
and he lived only 30mins away!!
don't look too closely, its rough around the edges but its a good bass to start from.
and i've just put an order in for 5m of black leatherette material a new staple gun and some spray adhesive
speaking to Rabster last night i think il be placing an order in for 2 new 12" JL Audio subs and amp.
going to be good!!
il keep the updates coming.
I did see this and almost went for it a few days prior but thought it may take too much of my boot.
Looks good though mate cant wait to see what u do with it

i saw this as well, its a good start of a decent build, some windows in the side pieces with perspex and amps behind would look awesome
Right,
ive now fitted the box in the boot and im using the top piece to mount my amp on to.
I have mounted my single P1 Punch in the unit for a test fit and see how it sounds.
Luckily it has been made with a separator in the middle, so i can leave in as i don't have any spare room in the house at the moment.
I had test fitted it with the side panels in and it leaves virtually no boot space... not good... so im going to cut them up and width ways from the edge of the box following the carpet line.
and with the top piece, that im using to mount the amp/amps, will be given vertical side pieces to match in with the 2 newly cut side pieces.
and if your wondering... the guy that built this unit had volt gauges in the 2 rectangle slots... i will be opening them up and fitting 2 2x6" horn tweeters
should be an interesting build... nd look a lot nicer when re-trimmed in clean black leather!!
Cheers for looking,
Keep the comments coming.
Rob
some led's to brighten it up at night would look good
Definitely need to add some lighting to the boot area..
I think Il have to leave that to rabsters imagination and see what he can do
I paid £30 for it (Bargin) for what it came with.
Just got my hands on 2 x 12W0v3-4: 12-inch JL audio subs
Crunch 1400w amp
1.6 farad power cap
and 2 new 3" x 7" horn tweeters
should have it all built up before Christmas
What a bargain!
