is200 ecu pinouts wanted
Yep auto to manual I am using manual ECU with auto wiring loom
I need SPD 12v and ground for both manual and auto
Right the speed signal goes from the gearbox sensor to the dash. The 12v, earth and signal go here first.
The earth goes to B1 on the dash
12v goes to the 10A gauge fuse in the drivers side fuse box (1H plug, wire 1)
the signal goes to A12 in the dash
The signal is then outputted on A14 of the dash to the ECU, through the drivers side kick panel to B28 of the ECU. (just one signal wire)
Its different to the auto box where it goes direct to the auto ecu direct from the output speed sensor on the gearbox (the auto ecu also gets a signal from the input speed sensor on the gearbox as well)
Thanks for that mate.
Iv seen an auto to manual is300 swap on the net doing similar thing and he mentioned it was dependent on what year the car was some got there readings from abs sensors to ecu and others direct from box ECU?
The car I'm working on is 1999
The ABS sensors and ecu do measure speed and send a signal to the dash in the automatic but that shouldnt be affected for your operation and should still work after your ecu change.
for what your after you need to supply a 12v to the speed sensor on the back of the gearbox and a good earth, then take the third wire direct to the manual ecu input B28
ps the immobiliser for the car is in the main ecu so youll need the chip from the original manual cars key to make it work. Just incase you didnt realise that
Thanks mate appreciate the help.
Yep have key etc for ECU.
One thing I am confused about is there is no B28 in the ECU its 1to24? ( there is a D28 )
What I an planing on doing is using the wire from auto gearbox that runs to plug C on the ECU instead of running new wires.
My plan is
Depin C5 and put it in B28 or splice to it
D17 il splice for my ground
12v from ECU ????
Do you have the right plug? If you look at the drawing it's def b28
As for the wiring your ok for the first two, but find a 12 in the kick panel for the third.
These are the 5 ecu connectors. E4 only appears on the auto. E3 is what 'B' relates to in the drawing so you can see it goes to 28. You haven't got the connectors backwards?
Pinout i was looking at was listed back words lol so E was A D was B plug etc.
And iv figured out A16 is my 12v
Now I just need to figure out what wires to use from gearbox plug that run to plug C then splice them to A16 B17 B28
Thanks mate really appreciate the help
