Had an interview today with the local Job Centre,

The interview usually go like this....

sign here and we'll see you in 2 weeks :cursing:

But today i had a different one Big Grin

They have now offered me as much help as needed to get working again, be it starting my own buisiness (with supply/payment of items if i need them?) financial backing to get going and a personal advisor? plus quite a few other things like training etc...

So after a chat they have now given me the course i've been after and are paying for everything (even fuel and food costs) :thumbup: Going to be doing the level 1 and level 2 SIA security training plus on going aftercare and further training :thumbup:

Should be starting the 4 week course on the 14 October (this month) and going to be covering all the parts of the training program?

Bit of the program list...

Course Content

Part 1 - Role and Responsibilities in the Security Industry Environment

* Introduction to the Role and the Leisure and Security Industries
* Standards of Behaviour
* Civil and Criminal Law
* Searching
* Arrest
* Drugs Awareness
* Recording Incidents and Crime Scene Preservation
* Licensing Law
* Equal Opportunities
* Health and Safety at Work Act
* Emergency Procedures

Part 2 - Communication Skills and Conflict Management

* Introduction to Communication Skills and Conflict Management
* Application of Communication Skills and Conflict Management

Public Space Surveillance (CCTV), Close Protection, Cash and Valuables in Transit, Door Supervision, Key Holding and Security Guarding.

Most courses only cover a certain part or a couple of them at a time, but they have given me the whole lot, and i cant wait to get going now :thumbup:

So if all goes well i'll hopefully be working again very soon :w00t::w00t:

With the company that i'm doing the training with, they give you contacts after the training, they have a lot of company's that use them for the supply of personnel and help you get employment at the end of the course? A good thing is, is they even pay for the license at the end of it, which most company's don't and for the license itself its £250 so just getting that is a bonus at the moment Wink

But it does open quite a few windows for me, due to the amount of work there is around here in those fields, so hopefully i'll get something sorted pretty quick, plus i have a few good contacts in the same field which will help quite a bit :thumbup1:
