Works fine, you just need to redrill the holes for it.

I finally had time to get cracking with fitting my charger conversion. Ive got all the pipework at the top of the engine bay sorted including the air filter, bypass and throttle body inlet. Just the mounting of the intercooler and pipework connections to do now.

Im using the navara pully and have come across a small problem. I've drilled the holes out to 10mm so it fits nice over the water pump studs but they are not quite long enough. Definitely longer studs needed which is a pain.

The other small problem i have is with the cradle mounted in the car and bolted up i cannot get all the charger mounted bolts lined up. The two nearest the engine are fine, the other front mount is close and the other rear is a long way out. Anyone else have this problem? I think i might need to space the triangular section of the cradle away from the block a little as i think its this puling it all out of alignment?

I forgot to take any pics when i was doing it and as ive got to keep the car on the road at the moment ive taken it all off again. Will definitely get some next time!

Since my post above ive gone back and looked at the drawings of the pulleys earlier in the thread.

The navara pulley has a smaller centre hole than the tte pulley and that may be stopping it sitting flush back against the water pump pulley, although not by much and i suspect longer studs may still be required unless you're happy with each not being on about a single turn of thread?

Silly question but have you removed the cap from the water pulley?

Yes! Smile

I assume there is only one bit that comes off? The actual wp pulley has a dome shaped part in the centre that i think is bigger than the hole in the navara pulley which is stopping it sitting back fully?

I'll take a picture to show what i mean

There's a picture in this thread somewhere that shows the dimensions of the stock tte pulley the navara pulley and the merc one, the Nissan one needs drilled out as you have done but also the centre hole needs widening, just take it to a machine shop and they will do it for penny's.

Thanks Wayne -
even the merc pulley was hard to find, only merc make it no aftermarket support for it at all so no hope of cross-reff'in part no.s

On the flipside, rang merc direct they quoted 27 quid w/o VAT for the pulley which i can stomach.
Part no. 603 205 0110

CrocodileHunter - I think the drawings are on page 8 or thereabouts on this thread.
Spent all night starring at them last night trying to source the bits.

Cheers.

Yeah i found the drawings, I'm going to ask my machine shop friend to enlarge the hole to the same size as the tte pulley.

In fact whilst im there I'll get him to do the merc pulley too

I had mine redrilled and it fits nicely. I didn't have any issues with studs, they were just about long enough.

Thanks wayne, thats good to know.

The only part im a worried about now is the cradle, with it fully bolted in the car it seems to be pulled out of shape a bit and a can't get the charger bolt holes lined up.

How did yours fit?
