Had the IS200 MOT'ed on Saturday and

...it passed!!! No advisories issued! My IS200 is now 9 years old and has 127k on the clock. These cars are built to last.

Also, I fitted a LE grille to my car, which I got for free on LOC (thanks to Eddieblock, Eddie if you read this thanks once again for this). Some pics below:

OEM 3 bar grille (as my car is a 2000 model it orginally came with a 4 bar grille):

That grill is miles better than the OEM one. I've seen one sprayed the same colour as the car and it looked very nice.

Good news with your MOT @127K that is brilliant!!

Had mine done on Friday @ 60K, passed with HIDs, advisory note for the tyre valves slightly perishedConfusedhock: Tyre wear in 1 year for about 10K miles was 1mm all roundConfusedhock: All tyre wear is even (run at 38psi), which goes to prove that Tony Bones @ WiM knows his stuff.........Cheers Tony!:thumbup1:

Grille looks great - much better than standard Smile

Great news about the MOT too, got mine on Thursday so hope it flies through as well! Actually reminds me I need to swap out my HIDs or I'm going to end up with another set of standard headlight bulbs......

Why ? Your HIDs should pass the MoT fine as long as the beam pattern is ok. What has happened before ?

Was fine up until last year, but in last year's MOT the beam pattern with the HIDs didn't pass (they said something about getting a new machine) so they swapped in some standard bulbs to make the car pass.

steviewevie Hmm, hope my local MoT stations don't get a new beam-testing machine then !

Should be safer with the smaller independents as they're less likely to buy expensive new machines!

Either way might be a good idea to take along a set of standard bulbs in the glovebox just in case, as it would be better to swap them out rather than risk failing or getting an advisory Smile
