Sounds quite possible to be a worn shock/damper to me. Broken spring is possible too but that tends to be a lot less common.
Another possibility is something having gone wrong with your anti-roll bars, since they will come into play when you go over a pothole or similar on one side - e.g. you might have a problem with an anti-roll bar drop-link, or a bush fallen out or something. Again, Lexus should be able to spot something like this.

Also m4ddy premium tyres will help hugely with the handling compared to the budgets ones you're using. I'm running Falken 452s all round and they aren't too expensive.

Yeah lexus park lane did a free safety check for me. replaced a bulb and washed the car for free - was impressed. Diagnosed my first leaky rear shock.

On the front calipers the brake pads are supposed to have retaining clips either side to hold the pads in. If they are not in place you will hear a clunk/bang when changing braking once you have changed direction - this is the pad hitting the end of the caliper.
