I was surfing the EU LOC and quite a few members, who have TTE supercharges, have swapt their pulley with a larger one (140 mm and 150mm). They have raised the boost pressure between 0.45 and 0.5 bar. They also state that they did not have any problems none of them! Is this possible? I thought that IS200 cannot handle more boost than 0.4bar, as it has been stated in many posts. I asked the members how is it possible to have a reliable engine and they answered that with a proper engine management and without reving the engine at high rpm all the time no problem should exist.

Yes you are correct mate, they stated that they had an Apexi or Haltech ecu, larger intercooler and other fuel ejectors. But apart from that everything worked ok. One of them stated only that the temperature increases significantly and that the oem battery needs replacement because it might melt. It happened to him.

The under bonnet temps on my car were very high, infact the battery got some heat wrap to protect it. The problem was solved by removing the rubber seal at the bottom of the bonnet that seals the rear of the engine bay and lifting the bonnet up on washers, it looks a bit different but does a fantastic job of keeping temps down under the bonnet.
