I'm starting to look around at new clutches. Am I right in thinking that the IS200 and Altezza use the same clutch components, i.e. release bearing as well as clutch plate, cover etc ?

Over on Toyo DIY it shows part numbers the same for the clutch plate but slightly different numbers for the clutch cover and release bearing. However, Exedy's website shows exactly the same components for both IS200 and Altezza.

So any Altezza clutch should fit ok ?

Well mine is running a UK Spec 3SGTE clutch and a standard gearbox if that helps?

2tongues Well mine is running a UK Spec 3SGTE clutch and a standard gearbox if that helps?

When you say UK Spec 3SGTE clutch, I thought the 3SGTEs were imports and not UK spec. Is that an MR2 clutch ?

Thanks, so the Altezza clutch cover fits the IS200 as well as the clutch disc itself ?

Thanks guys. Good question Ormi. I might well just end up getting a Lexus OEM one, yes, that's one of the options. As you say they are not particularly expensive. Don't think I'll be getting a Lexus flywheel though !
