steviewevie Cool. Is the over-fuelling the reason why the power drops off after 6200rpm ?
I had no idea what a Dawes device was, so I Googled it. So it's basically a manual boost controller ?
Thanks Asi

Well originally I was going to refurb the standard brakes on my car as I got another set cheap, since then I have been thinking that they'll be adequate with the power increase but maybe not totally reliable so on this front I bought these moke: you can see the difference in size to standard WRX 4 pots in the second pic!!
They run 330mm Discs
I am also working on the suspension setup as well so to start with I am uprating the drop links, on the standard setup the U shape rears are plastic and so flex a bit and the front are quite thin metal on a ball joint, I have purchased the below made out stress reliefed alloy by CDF racing and seem good quality from what I can make out :thumbup1:
I have also made a purchase from the same company of an anti-lift kit which stiffens the front and is designed to keep the front end from lifting as much on accelerating and as such keep more traction on the front wheels, we'll see eh
Mmm, those bits look nice. I see what you mean about the brakes being bigger
Cheers chaps I am surprised too how they tend to use plastic on certain parts especially on a 'performance' cars!!
However I am pleased with the parts and it's all coming together nicely, just gotta put it all together at some point which maybe soon all going to plan, I am chatting with the garage at the moment to finalise bits and bobs
I have sorted through the parts I need from what I originally bought and booked the car in for the 11th March at Chris Palmer Autos, Bristol who will have it (all going to plan for two days) one day for the fitting and setting up and the second for the mapping, they use Dave Row for all their mapping.
The following parts are being used for the upgrade -
TD05H 16G FE ported Turbo
STI Version 8 intercooler
Version 7 bonnet under tray to suit the larger cooler
STI Version 7 550 pink injectors
3 Port boost solenoid
Prodrive 255ltr fuel pump
RCM induction kit
All new gaskets, seals, bolts, necessary piping etc
At the same time they will be swapping the standard front calipers and discs to the Brembo calipers and discs, replacing the Rear Discs (grooved) and pads.
I am also adding Inlet Manifold spacers, which are about 10mm thick, there are two reasons for these; firstly they move the inlet manifold further from the heat source which reduces heat transfer from the heads to the manifold which in turn improves the torque curve. The mechanic has them on his rally car and has the dyno print before and after to show the differences.
As an aside they’ll be replacing the Rocker Cover Gaskets as they are weeping slighty so get them done before they leak
