IS200 Push start switch from the IS-F

So i picked this switch up from the states should have been over £150 in the uk just for the switch Confusedcared:

The problem is that it doesnt just plug in to the car it requires custom circuitry, i cant take credit for the circuit as a guy in denmark designed a similar circuit i just adapted it to do what i wanted

here are the pics from birth etc

take one centre console
[Image: 063.jpg]

Remove lighter
[Image: 062.jpg]

Then attack with a dremel
[Image: 065.jpg]

till the switch is tight
[Image: 067.jpg]

I then tested all prongs till i got the desired outputs
[Image: 071.jpg]

i then had some help from the huricane as he was free and we built the circuit
[Image: 069.jpg]

we fully tested the circuit then started work on another that was smaller

All in all the cost for the circuit and wiring etc would not total more than £75 depending on how you make the board

the switch alone can set you back alot more but the theory is that any switch can be used...

this is the MK2 of the circuit

MK3 will include a Etched PCB Board and a separate relay pack etc

Nice. But have you disabled the immobiliser then ? How about the steering lock ?

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

i have an after market alarm so that is the immobiliser i wont go into details of that for the security of the car etc, still have to turn take the steering lock of manually but im working on that.... once i have sussed that out and have a long standing solution then i will removing mine change it and move the switch to the existing key switch location.

Nice job mate, so once you sort out the steering lock thing, will it be a proper keyless start like in the IS250 and IS-F? Do you have a proximity sensor for the key or something?

You say it's an IS-F button. Is there a difference between that one and those used on the IS250/350/220D?

IS 200 Sport with a few mods, Standardish IS-F. The IS250 SE-L with a few mods has gone to a new home.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Lol, I think the same starter button is used across the entire Toyota/Lexus range
