imo the best bit of win7>vista is the ability to change the level of the UAC e.g. how strict it is on when it wants permission to do certain things as vista it's either on by default or you have to configure it via msconfig to disable it.

The only problem with my copy of Vista is it drops the network printers and refuses to "see" them, even though they are hard wired via the router.

I wouldn't bother getting hold of a copy just yet mate - it's should have hit RTM within the next 14 days so you might as well wait for that to get released as it won't expire like the current copies will Smile

I haven't tried Windows 7 yet but I do hear good things about it.

Microsoft seem to have a habit of doing a decent OS then a bit of a duffer, e.g. :

Windows 95 - a big move forward vs 3.1 but not very stable
Windows 98 - big improvement on 95
Windows ME - post people thought "why bother ?" versus 98
Windows XP - again another big improvement
Windows Vista - some good features but a lot of annoying stuff too and another "why bother ?" release for many
Windows 7 - sounds like a good one

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

This is true, infact its 13th July. You should be able to buy it from July 15th i've heard and for the full Home Premium version it will be around £50 or the professional for around £100, there won't be any upgrades available yet. They won't come with IE though (Firefox is better anyway) Smile

got a friend on the inside who's getting me a RTM for nothing Wink I will say that I wouldn't bother installing win7 now, I had heard initial rumours that vista home premium and above users will get a reduced upgrade to win7.
