leather seats
leather seats
has anyone any knowledge of taking seats to bits as i am considering if it would be possible to put is300 full leather seat trim onto my existing seats-the leather interior i have got has been open to the elements for some time so i have concerns over all the electrics and motors working properly and also the state of the foam underneath so was thinking that as the leather is immaculate it might be possible to fit the actual leather from the bought interior onto my seat bases-just the fronts as the rear seat is fine-i know toxo played with seats for his car,has anyone got an old is seat they could experiment on and see how hard it would be to do this swap-any help or advice would be much appreciated-also i would not have to worry about seatbelt fittings not being compatable and wiring - mine is a 1999 the leather is from a 2004
id imagine it would be quite hard to get the leather off with out damaging it, but these days anything is possible i suppose, then you got to try and work out how to leather stich. it may be worth getting a pro leather work to do some magic if you can find one
yer they are held by metal rings.
not to hard did mine at work. you need the rings and a set of Hog Ring Pliers for the rings thats it.
i put heated seats in the back of mine and did the wiring for my headrest screens and all was ok
you can find Hog Ring Pliers on ebay
For people that dont know what Hog Ring Pliers are here a sample
