Thanks guys! It’s so annoying because I don’t want to loose it, and apart from the front, the rest of the car is completely fine.

I had a look in the engine bay, and there was no intrusion, so the bumper took most the impact. The driver’s head light bracket is also bent, but I could see that, it is just a bracket, and has no part of actual car itself.

I would also want to get it checked out under the car as well, because there are some scratches underneath.

I really don’t want to loose the car, I am even thinking about maybe asking for it back if they do write it off.

I can only guess it would be a CAT D write off if they don’t want to fix it.

But are CAT D cars a bad thing ? I know what has happened to it, and I have pictures of the damage, but do you think, if I was to sell it later down the line, will I struggle with it ?

I hope Bambi feels real ashamed, fancy running out in front of you. Hope you ate him:Shooting:

On a serious note glad you and the Mrs are OK. Get looking for some pristine examples of your exact car model, miles, age etc, and make a note of the prices so you have the up to date real life prices to compare their offer with, loss adjusters have a habit of under quoting:Shooting:

cat D cars are effectively worthless (well at least 30 to 50% of market value), and put 99% of people off before they even call you about buying the car.

If its a right off its utterly supid. The car runs fine, maybe the tracking is really out of line, but it can be driven down a street.... so they want to send it off to scrappys because of some bodywork...

Hopefully a solution is found, if its a wright off, ask for it back and keep it in garage? (Depending on what they offer you back :S )

Glad your OK mate i'd try and source replacement parts then get a price for spraying it'll probably end up being cheaper than going through the insurance with the effect it'll have on your policy and also the value of the car being reduced due to Cat D, suppose it would all depend if you can afford the initial outlay.

40mm Lowering Springs, Re-sprayed Front, 6000K HID's, Re-furbed alloys, Bandit Induction Kit (cheers Chris), Raised boot spoiler with LED, Blue calipers with silver decals, De-badged rear, Chrome Oil Filler Cap (thanks to Chris again), White LED dash bulbs, Blue a/c control bulbs, Blue door markers and interior lights, Sony head unit, Chrome Lexus tax disc holder, TRD side skirts, Original Saloon Front Bumper re-fitted instead of Sportcross

Oh lordy that looks painful... I'd have cried, that was in stunning condition!

If they write it off, you can buy it back from them on the cheap and get it fixed up maybe?
