What is THE BEST clutch for the IS200 running 280+ torque?

My old stage 2 fen sport one was oil soaked when removed so is useless. We have a standard one in for the moment but it won't last long at the current power levelBig Grin

Altezza clutches and IS200 ones are interchangeable - apart from the fly wheel.

why wont the standard one last long?

steve who built mine had a standard clutch on his 500bhp 1GGTE and it ran fine.

Though the Carbonetics one looks awesome when i saw it at JAE

The current one is a 2nd hand one and shows signs of slipping on the dyno only when the turbo kicks in though. With lower boost there is no slipping.

Funds didn't stretch to a new one this side of Christmas, so a replacement will be required. I hate second hand stuff but needs mustConfusedad:

I think a new OEM clutch will handle the power fine, as Stav said. But if you're looking to replace it then you've got more choice anyway, e.g. I've bought the Fensport Stage 1 clutch (Helix) for my project.

Presumably you never got a chance to properly judge what your Stage 2 clutch was like when it was new ?

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

It was very smooth, you couldn't really tell it was uprated - no judder at all even in reverse.

I know who you mean, they cost a huge amount more then the Fen Sport equiv. that most people are using. Fen sport are usually next day delivery and Comp. Clutch quoted me 2 to 4 weeks.................
