well their is a problem with the gaskets and the coolant its the wrong coating on the gasket the pink coolant removes this and well it starts to shift about..
removed the engine removed the inlet manifold,exhaust manifold and turbo then removed the head........car req an engine the gasket has been moving about so much it has caused indenting in the head and the block!!!!

well got in to work and the boss handed me a set of keys to a 58plate corolla verso 2.2.....brought it in and checked it over time to strip the engine out it needs a head gasket.........

na not too long mate took me 3 hours to get it that far

the 2.2's suffer from burning oil aswell which involves a strip and rebuild...........
the warranty on the engine has been extended too 100,000 miles............
a lot of the 2.2,s might suffer......

prob get the short block and a bare head on thurs and will be finished approx thurs at 3... swapping over and lapping all the valves takes the longest......

well i got the bare head today so had to strip the old one and clean up the valves and lap them in......
the new head....

these fit under the valve spring if you dont the spring will wear through the head!!!
