Thinking about it sam make sure you keep for you own records if not everyone else details of any mounts you have made and any problems you encounter....

many of us can probably help you overcome little snags....

That looks fun to do Wink
Wish I'd got that power in mine Wink
I'd definately consider rebuilding tho whilst it's out.
Can imagine once in the car space will be tight

James S Nice engine fella, you uprating the turbo then to gain the 450+ bhp???
What box you going to use??

yeah going big single, Uprated injectors, fuel rail and pump. going AEM Standalone atm but may change and keeping the IS200 ecu to run the lights etc. loads of other toys too but see how funds stretch first!!

Yeah defently when i get more parts together il make a build diary and included everything i can to show how i went about it all! Smile The engine i have is a mid sump and i need a front sump. Just looked into it and a IS300 sump fits it all nicely and im guessing from images/workshop pictures that possibly the IS300 mounts may work? but i may be mistaken?! seems that all the JZ stuff bolts up and is interchangable. seeing as the IS300 is a 2jz-ge it should in theory?

Atm im not planning too rebuild it, the engine looks in very good condition! il get the sump off this week and have a butchers.

purplewitch 500bhp Smile and in my home town too Smile .. you need to pop out and make the gaps between the roundabouts bigger though first... just when you start having fun, you have to slow down.. well you do in a supe anyway. Goodluck with that install Smile <makes a note to not pick a race with Sam B>

haha! yeah its bad enough with my turbo IS now let alone when its 1jzgte powered Wink

This is going to be a very interesting project mate. i am looking forward to see your progress? What happened with your turbo engine? Did you manage to sell it? How come you did not go for a 2JZGTE motor mate?

From what i know from my friend's IS, which has a 2JZGTE installed he used an IS300 sump for the same reason you mentioned and it matches perfectly. I hope it is the same for the 1JZGTE also.

According to a few websites all the JZ engines are mainly interchangable. Could you find out what mounts hes using? i know a few people are saying two inlet side GS300 mounts but im really tempted by trying IS300 mounts.

still got it and running it till end of show season, then selling it on to fund this project Smile ive got for the 1jz mainly down to cost! alot cheaper for not much less performance really.
