ormi you have to buy special ones that only come in pairs and they are expensive..
also if you let the gass out you can let out too much then you have to send them away for a refill
What makes them "special"?
Wont any the right size do the job?
And how much is expensive?
Do you have one fitted Ormi?

the correct ones are approx 50-60 plus p&p i think and a refill if you get it wrong is approx 20 plus p&p..

no the right size wont mate (the size is 440mm) if you get a normal 440 one theirs no way of adjusting the pressure and they are too powerfull..

ps i did fit one ok more than one(i fitted ten diff types)and they all pushed the boot out of alighn when closed!!

Dark Samurai But Ian, doesn't yours need the strut to hold the boot up?
Yes my car has no choice, as it need to put the roof away remotely
IS200 driver want to push their remotes on their keys and their boot lifts & raises fully open.
What is different between between what the IS200 and my car, both cars need the boot to be opened and lifted into position.
The struts that people want on their IS200 will hold the boot up so i dont see the difference.

I wonder if someone could find the mechanism on an SC430 at a breakers and fit it to an IS200 to make the boot open and close remotely......where's Rabs, sounds like a job for him
