Kenwood one. Satnav module is Garmin so a known & respected make, they supply regular map updates on their website which you can load into the unit via SD card. Not difficult to get speed camera databases onto it etc, and being a seperate module you can chop and change the headunit to any other Kenwood screen-based unit.
From my experience Pioneer head units lack decent SQ unless you get the really top end ones. However I've no prior experience of the unit / range you have posted above. And I really don't get on with Alpine's media station interface, too slow!!
For what it's worth I'm about to buy a Kenwood DDX-8029 with the same GPS module.
kenwood all day..
the 9240bt is the headuunit to get right now but not cheap!! the 7240bt is also a good unit and on the cheaper end the 5240bt..
as above, kenwoods come with garmin nav which has speed camera updates and traffic rerouting TMC (for an annual fee) plus the bluetooth is by parrot, so you get three top manufacturers in one box!
Everyone does seem to be recommending the kenwood, only thing that bothers me is the aesthetics of the mapping but it's not going in my car so that's not the biggest concern if it does the best job.
Problem headunit wise is that it's going in a Mini so needs to be a single DIN, but have just been in touch with AutoAudio who apparently have a kit that creates space for a double DIN so am waiting to hear back from them.
I'm expecting a price of somewhere around £1000 so I don't think any of these will work out too expensive, all just depends how much it's going to cost extra to sort out installation (a simple headunit swap I can probably manage myself, but alterations to fit double DIN etc might be outside my expertise slightly! :lol
redz you may want to look at the newer units as they have an improved GUI..

ther was a hu at the show last week that caught my eye redz might know the one with the detachable gps unit so you can take it any where
found it http://www.bassjunkies.com/audio/pioneer-avic-f310bt
Just popped down to AutoAudio and pretty nice place they have there (explains the fantastic machinery they're working on at the mo)
Anyway, double DIN is an option, but we all thought that would put the screen down too low to be in the line of sight. They also said that they could put in a really trick motorised screen that would slide up out of the top of the dash, but that would cost £2500 just for the install (screen and nav stuff all extra) so that seemed a bit excessive for a £15k Mini :tongue_smilie:
Looks like we'll just be going with the kenwood flip out screen, doesn't have the latest GUI (as redz mentioned) but otherwise looks like it does everything else pretty well (except annoyingly the TMC has an annual subscription rather than being free like with the newer units)
