parthiban I wonder if someone could find the mechanism on an SC430 at a breakers and fit it to an IS200 to make the boot open and close remotely......where's Rabs, sounds like a job for him Smile

The boot only closes remotely when the roof in operation.

I guess the motors needed would cost too much even if you could get it to work plus there are so few SC430 out there to get all the parts required.

i could make a kit that would do it, its very simple, just using a hydraulic pump and a couple of actuators, like you would find on the roof of a small convertible. Problem is it will take up a bit of space, but it would be quite trick. You just put the hydralic actuators where you would have the strut. Its a simple system, put fluid in one end of the actuator and the boot opens. Switch a valve and pump fluid in the other end and the boot closes

Ahh so not that expensive to do? Didn't think it would be that complicated, but thought it would cost a lot due to the parts involved, but if not that would be brilliant. I'd love this if it could be done Smile

I might have a word with Rabster and see if we can come up with something. It will be a bit of a winter project, but i dont see it being difficult to do at all
