Honest opinions?
I'm not quite sure what your after with this thread but it does seem to be provoking an argument, whether it be with the mods or other members.
OJC is a public forum and we must abide by the laws of the country, nor can we encourage, or allow to be encouraged, our members to break the law.
You may not agree with the wording of your conversation with the admin but the aim of it was justified, As other members have already pointed out.
Edit: Ive re-read the thread after suggestions from other members and i now realise i had the wrong end of the stick. The other admins im sure are bound by the same rules but as you've pointed out its how you deal with people (me re-opening this being a good example)
Stav
yyaayyy my threads back
big thanks to stav for taking the time to speak with me and also seek advice from other members of the team
thats how moderating should be done!!!
As i said with to stav i do to an extent understand why the threads on the other forum where closed, i was more frustrated at how they were closed and the general attitude of a few people,
but wanted to see what you guys thought in respect of how they handled it, and not so much wether their actions in the first isntance were questionable as they were probably right.
Carpediem ^^ i see wha tyou mean, and thats why i took responsibility for the original thread,
but the scond one i cleary stated this was not my intention?

from the tone of their voice, even when i spoke via pm in the most un-biased and nice way possible still managed to snap back
oh well live n let live i guess.
thanks everyone, this is the second thread that i have posted on here in relation to view differences witht he other forum and you guys have helped 100% and not waivered at all
i think i'll be sticking to the jap side
lol Carpediem... I think you're always going to hear little sparks flying when you start asking for people's opinions on other peoples opinions..even more so across different forums. So much is lost in type especially with language barriers too and everyone will always have differing opinions that may or may not fire up a few people, even if you haven't got a personal involvement.
Perhaps you need a fire extinguisher emoticon :p lol

Cough up then Scrooge
I agree with what's been posted above as well, they were justified in the removal of your first thread, and the second one being opened probably just seemed like a red flag being waved in their faces as well. I'm probably have written the PM more politely, but I'd have deleted them as well...
As Stav says, regardless of the T&Cs, the forum owner(s) are responsible for the content at the end of the day and can't condone anything like that...
As for emoticons, there are loads I'd like to see too  Anyone know how we get some added?
427 posts in four months sounds quite active to me .... join up lol
lol i meant active as in buying/modding etc
im a yappy person, but wouldnt benefit from the membership enough
IF HOWEVER the club and forum was under threat and required more paid members, even if only a nominal charge of a few quid to steer it straight i would have no problem bailing it out and paying my part.
