my project 200sx s14a
my project 200sx s14a
when my dad bought the car it was totally standard, started off with the normal first mods (induction, exhaust, dump valve) and seeing how it went, fuel pump broke so perfect excuse to fit a walbro, then some strut braces, engine torque damper, radiator hoses and then a FMIC .
he then bought these aftermarket rear light before wanting to buy a new car
he bought a classic scooby and i got the 200sx.
ran the car for a year before ''pop'' turbo blew taking the bottom end with it. was recovered back to my grandmas driveway where it sat for over a year.
then started the strip down...
sourced myself a 34k engine but decided to paint it
was just gonna swap the cam covers over to save time till i saw inside
we removed the old engine
cleaned and painted engine bay
painted rocker and then started the strip down
block went white
then the turbo and inlet
and in the end...
turbo got a tubular manifold, braided hoses, lightened flywheels and ACT paddle clutch
was then ready for going back in the car with a little help from my girlfriend
painted the intercooler
had a damaged paint patch on the bonnet and a spare can of paint from doing the engine bay so...what the hell :thumbup1:
engine was plumbed back in
wheels painted black
interior plain with cloth seats to bright with leather seats
had the bonnet wrapped
painted rear number plate surround and tinted lights
and then just lil bits from there in the engine bay, more paint and silicone
and the most resent mods are the skirts and spoiler
also made a video of the progress and at the min half way through the second

Looks good mate, the colours on the engine look really cool! Can't wait to see more from this
Love the thread,
Amazing how good it looks with just radiator paint.
Lexuspat Looking great,
What paint did you use on the engine and where did you get the wrap done.
When will she be back on the road and able to get to a meet or show
