MR2 Turbo Replacement...Impreza Turbo
MR2 Turbo Replacement...Impreza Turbo
So i've sacrificed looks for performance and driveability and so far i'm glad i did.
Never been a massive fan of Impreza's but never really given them much thought. When i received an email asking if i'd like a straight swap for this one it had to be considered. It has a full service history and receipts for everything which was a must. Mechanically it's sound but there are some bodywrk issues which need addressing to finish it off. I'm more of a bodywork person than engine mechanics so i was happy enough to take it on.
Spec
,looks very nice!
Nice one mate, agree with changing the lights and wheels. You might find that the cables on the back of the cd player need swapping, on one i use to have i connected two wires on the back of the cd player to there corresponding colours to find that it lost its radio station signal everytime the radio was turned off so i swapped them ( think it was red to yellow and yellow to red) and it was spot on after that. Think its good that you got a car that still has plenty left you can do. The mr2 was awsome but as far as bodywork went it was done visualy i think, be nice to have more of a fresh canvas. Look forward to seeing it
Thanks Martin. I'll try swapping those wires round and hopefully that'll be job one crossed off the list. I'll be at the meet on Wednesday so I'll see you then if your about.
I'll keep an eye on the gearbox Dale. Feels pretty tight at the minute. It's done nearly 104,000 miles though and sure it's had some hammer in it's life!!
Aslong as the weather is suitable mate i will be there
Very nice mate,
However as above I am the only lexus in our lincs group therefor I should be the only one with lexus rear lights
Other than that can't wait to see it
Looks a nice canvas mate! Also agree about the rear lights!
Look forward to hearing it, they are one of best sounding cars for sure!
