Project Stealth: the second coming
Project Stealth: the second coming
Well some of you may know that before I had the Lexus, well in fact many cars before, I had a Eunos Roadster which I adored. I literally lost blood, sweat and tears over this car - and a hell of a lot of money.
It finished up looking like this:
Then two weeks after I completed the project, I stupidly sold it.
After many cars in between - here is it's successor... and it will be superior in every way.
It's a proper project car needing work in all areas... but the base is extremely solid and it shall be a LOT of fun
The spec is curently as follows:
1993 Mazda Eunos Roadster S-Ltd (special edition)
1.6 16v 4cyl
5 Speed manual gearbox

HKS Air filter

320cc injectors

+ spare 16" split rims (pictured above)
It's currently pushing out a conservative 200bhp (from a stock 114bhp), however the setup is capable currently of 250bhp which it has run on a dyno to show it can do it. I clearly want more than that
I've been slowly collecting mods / service parts to bring it up to standard, as it does need a lot of work. These parts consist of:
Koyo aluminium radiator
AK Automotive black silicon coolant hoses
Grooved front brake discs
Replacement rear brake discs
Mintex brake pads all round
HKS oil filler cap
HKS high pressure radiator cap
Tein springs
Red tuner wheel nuts
Greddy profecB spec 2 boost controller
Greddy gearknob
Gliptone liquid leather repair kit
Suzuki cappucino style alloy washer bottle relocation kit
Replacement centre console
Replacement door handles
Replacement air vents
Rev9 fender flares
Tuning laptop
New battery
Oil / Oil filter / Spark plugs / brake fluid / coolant
+ hopefully (when the guy replies) high lift cams with vernier pulleys and a cut cam cover to expose the gears.
So lots to do to get it back on the road, as it will need a good mapping session too and get it running a modest bar of boost. So all I can say is, watch this space - I plan to turn this into something really special.
Hmmmm turbo Eunos :w00t:
Looks like a lot of polishing and painting to do, for a start it needs to be yellow
In my opinion, only paint should be polished. I HATE blinged engine bays - subtle is the way forward.
Yellow?! HELL no!
Cool look forward to seeing your progress on this one, the old one looked very nice so this one will be awesome I'm sure. Keep the pics comming
This is guna be mega! Can't wait to see the finished item!
Last few purchases today prior to the big mechanithon (mechanical marathon) were:
Innovate red 52mm air/fuel gauge
10 mikalor clamps
1m black silicone 65mm hose
3m black silicone 3mm hose
Replacement red HKS mushroom filter
Can't wait to get things moving

Bet it feels good to be back in a Roadster. I love mine to bits and i know what its like, mines not for power though and is just my everyday car.
Looks like you have some big plans for it so will be wathcing this with interest.
