Well most people from LOC know my car, it had its first day out on Sunday to the Pod, but on the way the clutch let go so I was unable to get any runs up the 1/4 mile:mad:

I have ordered a stage 2 organic plate and stage 1 pressure plate to replace the failed one from FenSport. Should have that tomorrow:p I don;t know if the fly wheel is damaged yet but they aren't a lot on the 3SGTE.

It is running very rich (over fuelling) this will have to be sorted out ASAP, Toyota GT think it is just a air/fuel sensor, but for my piece of mind it is going to someone else for diagnosis, not sure who yet though.

Yeah should be a good do then.

I'd seriously suggest you get yourself a wideband AFR meter in the car though

Dan pointed me at your build thread on LOC and I've been watching it for a while, I like it a lot! Very original.

All 3S-GTE's overfuel a bit, it's Toyota's failsafe to stop detonation prior to them actually making a decent fuel computer. The engine you've got is from a Rev3 so it's MAP based rather than using an AFM so if it's overfueling past the stock AFR rates then your lambda sensor is most likely broken (which is the air/fuel mix sensor you mention in your first post). The sensor itself is hideously expensive from Toyota but there is an alternative supplier available. It's a simple diagnosis that can be performed with a multimeter, but I bet the sensor is a pig to get to in your car due to your exhaust manifold layout!

dan_harris looks good phil Smile sorry to hear about the mishaps with the clutch Sad hopefully it's a quick and easy fix

so far this has cost £600, including all parts, the uprated clutch from Fensport was £300, and the fitting £300. Due to the other damage it now has to go to TGT for further repair, it's not drivable so thats a tow charge also.

The AA refuse to tow it to TGT, because it is already at a garage, therefore they don't have to move it. I hate small print. I think I will hire a car with a tow bar and hire a car trailer, probably cheaper than towing it.

Should TGT not be at least assisting with these charges?
