Need some help pricing up some work on my is200
Hi everyone, now I have a few jobs on the car that I can't realy do, so I need some help working out how much ruffly it would cost to get the work done in a repituble garage.
Job 1) I have 2 reconditioned front calipers to replace the old f#***#g sticking ones, so how much should I be looking to pay to get them fitted and bled?
Job 2) I have a replacement center exhaust to replace the old one, now I have tryed to do this myself but the bolts holding it on the the cat part of the exhaust are compleatly corroded and so I can't get them off so would need a garage to remove old bolts and fit new center pipe with new bolts. So also how much would this work cost?
Job 3) also I have 3 new belts to go on which I also can't do which are the alternator belt and the a/c belt and the power steering belt. How much would this work cost?
Thanks for any help you guys can give.
Lewis.
I'd say half a days work there for all the jobs, about 4 hours labour

the actual callipers refurbed or new are extremely expensice and not worth it,
draper do a bleed system all you do is attatch a pipe to the nipple and pump the pedal as its a oneway valve so it bleeds it for you, then you can get out of the car and tighten the nipple up so easy to use ive just done my again today
draper bleed kit
also here a walk through guide for the belts

If you use a brake like clamp (as you should) then remove the calliper you will probably get away without bleeding the system. Some people use a mole-grip instead of a dedicated clamp, just be careful about how much pressure you apply. Its an easy job on the IS200.
