I'm getting the Eibach springs installed soon on the IS 250 and I'm looking at wheel options to replace the stock 17" by something 18". I'm not looking to spend loads but in the same time I want good quality wheels so I'm looking at what I can get second hand.

I do like the look of older wheels and I found two sets that I like.

The first option is a set of Borbet Grandstand made for TTE, they were found on the GS300 sport:

The second option is a set of Rays Volk Racing F-Zero Challenge:

Which ones do you think will fit the IS 250 better?
I can't decide... I like both!

top ones.

Actually, there must be some better options because I don't think any of those would look good on an IS250.

Top ones as long as you get the wider rears.

The Borbet Grandstand came with wider rears indeed
Front 8.5J ET45
Rear 10J ET45

You might be right, it's not the obvious choice for an IS 250.

No idea what to get though, there's a big price gap between new Rota, XXR, Calibre and all the usual suspects (which I don't want) and Rays, Work, SSR etc. That's why I'm looking at second hand stuff.

I welcome any ideas Smile

I've just spent the last 20 minutes looking at wheels and I think it's actually extremely difficult to find a good aftermarket set that really suit the IS250. I'll link up anything that's good though.

The ISF split 5 spokes look ok, but not amazing.

Japshop have them in stock, Advan Siena Gen2 but they're £2k without tyres.
Something like that fits pretty well I think...

see I don't think that suits the car at all, even in red. It would look much worse on a black car. If the centres weren't gold it might look a bit better. Silver/chrome seems to work on a black IS, but they really are a hard car to buy rims for by the look of it.

It's frustrating more than anything else. But the stock 17" wheels have to come off Smile

Agreed, the 250 completely swallows 17" wheels. It even makes 18"s look small.
