When I was looking for a Navara, it had to be fully specced, good mileage and in good condition. But when i came across my 2006 Nav with 34k miles on it, fully specced, I couldn't refuse it. Only downside was it didn't come with chrome mirrors, which I loved.

So eBay came up with some used mirrors, with everything I needed, at around £100 a piece. Some might say that's expensive, but it's good enough for me.

Anyway, plenty pictures below. I'm sure you can criticize how I have gone about it, I know I could of soldered the joints, gone from the BCM for indicators etc etc etc. However, they work, look awesome and when my private plate is on, you'll never know.

Before

Removed the door card, and located the wires.

Could of took the feed from the BCM for the mirror indicators, but took it from the wing, not as far and does the same job.

Used some electrical tape to cover the wires to look abit more professional maybe? Haha. Cut a hole in the rubber to feed the wires into the door as you can see.

Next I went down to the BCM, to locate the wires for the puddle lamps and if you see from the multi-meter i had 12v, which is a switched negative circuit. So when the doors open the circuit gets an earth, giving the interior circuit 12v.

Next up I got a relay, which has a 12v feed from the purple wire which is on the plug above, and loop the feed from pin 30 to pin 85 on the relay. Took the earth from pin 52 on the BCM and put it on pin 86 of the relay. Then on pin 87 of the relay is the feed to the puddle lamps.

Then after that, hey presto, look what we have.

Final result,

I put all the door cards back on and tidied the wiring up, now I'm a happy bunny and the LED puddle lamps look amazing in the dark.

Hope you like it!

Next up is to order a timer relay, my projector headlights and some HIDs, then i'll be wiring the lights in so they turn on when I unlock the truck, can't wait!
