Christmas may seem a long way off, but there are many children around the world who will not receive any gift without our generosity.

Wrap a shoebox, pack it full of great gifts and Operation Christmas Child will send it overseas to a child who may never have received a Christmas present before.

It is easy, yet the effect on a child is life-changing.

To find out how a simple gift can bring happiness to someone with very little, take a look at the link below and read How To Pack Your Box.

What your plan Saraj?

I am happy to arrange some thing for the kids at http://www.littlehavens.org.uk/
This is a special place for Children that i try to help out when i have some time.
I was in there last week helping out.

If anyone wants to help them out.
This could be some thing like a bowl of fresh fruit or toys.
If we could raise enough money maybe a tv or play station

Maybe some of the club sponsors may want to help with donation as well.

Im thinkiing something which maybe unique, a car club providing presents to poor children on its first christmas being up and running.

it would be good for the club, and like you said get the sponsers involed as well, we can all provide box of presents, but send it from OJC, promotes the club in a positive light, and provide publicity for the club.

Lets agree to only one event.

Either we do the Christmas box for children aboard at http://www.operationchristmaschild.org.u...gift-ideas

OR

Or the option of trying to raise funds for http://www.littlehavens.org.uk/
And if we have enough donation we can either buy a tv or playstation or WII.

I miss read this post............ I got worried:Fish:

"Life's goal is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body. But, rather to skid in sideways........
totally worn out and broken, shouting 'Holy ****, WHAT A RIDE!'"

what about toy cars?

why not ask members to buy a little toy car each or a little teddy for the girls?

Fair point Stav about present.

If we do Little Havens then maybe we see what we can raise and then ask the people at the hospice what would be a good gift to offer the hospice for the money raised.

What does Little Haven do?

Little Havens Children's Hospice provides respite breaks, symptom control and end-of-life care for youngsters living with serious conditions and who are not expected to reach adulthood.

personally i would go for an orgainisation who deals with poor children abroad, as much as little haven needs support, the kids there are much looked after compared to some places around the world.

Personally I was just thinking, that OJC organise something ourselfs with sponsers help, and not go through a third party organisation in which case we can make it as unique as possible specially for a car club.

thats what i thought, but whatever everyone else thinks.........
