That's it now. Pickfords came along lst Tuesday and cleared all my things into storage. I'm staying at the inlaws till we complete on our new property which will be the latest 23rd of December. Christmas is officially cancelled this year anyway lol.

I have been keeping an eye on things using an iphone but it's not easy replying to anything as the buttons on the screen are so small and the tips of my fingers too big.

Have a good one everybody.

Jim.

Thanks for your messages.

Were moving from Hoddesdon in Herts to the New Hall estate in Harlow. We ended up getting the house we never thought we would be getting but that's the way things go.

There is one big lesson I have learnt from all of this though and that is never ever buy a leasehold property unless it has a 999 year lease on it.

Don't know Harlow that well, but from what I've seen it does look very nice - hopefully the second phase of the move goes smoothly too

Agree with your second point too, I was recently looking at buying something that had a 15 year lease on it with the gamble that it could be a bargain - turned out to be quite the opposite so decided to walk away instead Smile
