Hello everyone! Its been a while scince i was on here last, just snowed under with work! well too cut a long story short i was thinking about selling up to invest in a BMW E60 M5 this year! but.....

ive decided now instead to sell the hybrid motor in my IS and go ahead droping in a 2jz-gte 6sp along with a few other goodies. Now ive got my own workshop i have plenty of room so plan to do the convertion myself with the help of my business partners.

ive found this http://www.turbofast.com.au/lexusengine.html too give me some idea on what i need but the biggest worry right now is wiring etc. am i right in thinking they run the standard ECU, Supra ecu and a piggy back into one system? ideally i want to keep using the standard speedo etc! keep it looking factory for now! i know its not going to easy but want to get a idea on what i should expect when fitting it.

ive currently sourced:

2JZ-GTE Inc Twin Turbos
6-Speed Getrag gearbox
6-Speed Rear Diff
Supra ECU
Wiring harness
Igniter chip
Sensors
Exhaust manifold
Down pipe
Intake manifold
Injectors
Alternator
Starter
Power steering pump
A/C compressor

thanks Big Grin

Sounds like an exciting project Sam ! :w00t:

I think you're right that the electronics may be the most complicated part. Think that Mat's car ran/runs(?) an HKS FCON ECU as well as the standard Supra/IS200 ones.

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

Yes my friends mechanic who has also built an is200 supra uses an F-CON in conjuction with the supra one. My friend uses an autronic together with the supra one.

Marsdendean So are you selling your full IS200 Turbo lump then? How come your swapping if you don't mind me asking, is it for more power or something more reliable?

yeah would sell it all so someone can just bolt it all in, if its still in my car when the buyer comes along id be happy to take them out so they can see what they will be getting. just want more easy power with more reliability to go more Wink

It wouldn't take that long to swap the motors over...... Maybe a week to get running again?

Dan, get your wallet out.
