I'm after a 1tb drive as above, i've seen a WD Elements one for £63 on ebay, but they are only £65 at Tesco, now normally I would expect a bigger saving on ebay, or is it that Tesco is very well price priced?

does anyone have any other recommendations??

yh with the media network server, you can connect it to your wireless router via ethernet, and access files and transfer files to it wirelessly, plus if you laptop goes or computer, files are on the server, just make sure your network is secure !

Depends what you need the hard drive for really. A media streamer is going to be more expensive than a raw hard drive, but do different things. It'll be a lot slower backing things up over a network rather than directly plugged in to your computer.

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

just like a usb hard drive but goes into the network. install a bit of sofeware and your done. best thing is you can run torrent on it so even if you shut down you computer at night it running. and you can remote access it so if your away you can still get to your files. best thing i ever brought. costs a bit more bet what you get is worth it. just think if you take you laptop away but want to show so photo's but did not have them with you. bingo or want to save files in one place so any computer can get to them

yh the best bit of the media server, is we had 5 computers, with files all over the place once with the media server, all files were in one place, I also had software running from it, so rebooting laptops would be no problems
