Need ideas/suggestions for a replacement car
Need ideas/suggestions for a replacement car
Ok so im planning on replacing the other halfs corolla. The main reason being space.....
Requirements are 3 baby seats in the back, but can live with 2 in the back and one up front(forward facing) until the eldest is in a booster seat, but will need to seat an adult 'reasonably' comfortably in the middle between the seats in the meantime, i can see this may not leave me with many options but with 2 car seats in the back of the corolla or my IS you couldnt fit a mouse!!
If youve seen the Galant thread you will have seen that the galant V6 24v estate is a possibility, however with the gearbox problems ive read about as well as the service intervals on some of them im now in two minds:confused1:
.......also having owned a galant many moons ago, i know how expensive parts arehock:
hock:
Budget wise i want to spend around £4kish but less if possible as its a car that will get a abused as expected with 3 littluns and will be kept for approx 2/3 years untill they are older and can get another car where im not restricted by space/car seats/buggys.
Ive just seen that with that price i could get a GS300:w00t::w00t:....but that doesnt solve the problem of boot space, although it looks a very big boot and a much wider opening then the is has.....would need to see how much space there would be between the seats in the back....
.......so over to you guys......
TIA:thumbup1:
Does the replacement car have to be Japanese?
Ideally i would prefer it, a quick google search told me that picasso/scenic :Fish:would fit 3 seats, but im open to ideas
How about a Avensis Verso or something like a 3/5 series touring or a A4/A6 Avant?
Any of these cars should be able to accomodate your kids and all their stuff.
Not sure if any of these cars fit into your price range?

dont think the 3 series would be wide enough......i know how good passats are though, so might be worth adding to the 'have look list':thumbup1:
Shahz the Ford Fiesta is the best selling car in Europe and the Focus is also up there too.
Ford has come a long way in more recent years.
Plus remember they are not living off there name like some of the other Marquees
I agree with your comment most people say its a Ford but you only get there to day buy selling decent cars.
And yes the second hand value is great too...
The Audi is another car that come a long way it used to be the poor man Merc But i think i would rather a Audi than Merc
