Anyone did the LPG conversion to his Lex?

I think it would be good to hear any experiences like problems, mileage on LPG, what manufacturer they preferred, do they use flash-lube etc...

I am interested on doing the conversion but i am very skeptical if the 1G-FE engine with VVTI and the intake system with variable-length inlet runners is suited for this...

Thanks in advance for any input

Good question. But isn't this going to cost more than the car is worth ?

The question is how long you plan to keep the car and how often you use it so you can save money in the long term.

With my usage and the current fuel prices i will begin to make a profit in one year time

I did a Google for "IS200 lpg" and the first link that comes up there seems to have some interesting info in it.

I have had LPG in the past, you loose a bit of power and the MPG will drop by as much as 20% so you have to take that into consideration. The IS200 needs flash lube, this is not cheap stuff either so also take this into account when deciding on savings.

The Gas bottle although safe takes up a fair bit of room, so you either loose the spare wheel or have an ugly cylinder in the boot taking up what little room you have there already.

Oh also tell your insurance as it is a modification and will require the correct certification or in the event of an accident they may decide your not covered.
