lost power to my windows and gauge
after doing my clutch and short shifter i have lost power to my windows and my gauge lights up but nothing works. reverse beeper not working either. checked the fuses in the footwell and the gauge one seems fine. have i missed anything when doing the clutch. also the turbo is whining a bit and the throtle body is clicking when you have the car idle. like it's clicking inside ?
ide guess at a wire knocked off somewere, can u check, also is it missfireing
When is the turbo making the whining noise, when you're on boost ? If it didn't do that before, then that sounds like a problem.
As for the throttle body, is that at idle ? Mine rattles a bit at idle. Remember that the stock ECU is still controlling the electronic throttle, so it might mess around with that a bit.
When you say the gauge lights up but nothing works, are you taking about the stock instrument cluster or an add-on gauge ?
The connector for the reverse beeper is to the gearbox, so it sounds like that's become disconnected - see http://bahamutcars.free.fr/workshop/IS_9...t_0062.pdf
Actually some people would probably love to make that stop working
Although having said that, the diagram above implies that the beeping comes from the instrument cluster, so if that's not working that maybe why you're not hearing anything.
no the turbo was not making that noise before. the clicking is at idle and not sure if thats normal. and the speedo gauge is light up but nothing is working. revs, fuel speedo etc. and there are only 2 wires on the gearbox. oil level and reverse and both of them are connected. it was working when i took it of the lift. windows are not working but door lock system is
ok, sounds like the reverse beeper not working is because your gauge isn't working. So the gauge fuse is definitely ok ? Have you tried swapping it just to make sure ? Because the gauge fuse does control the electric windows too.
my question is would the gauge light up if the fuse was gone. because it lights up but nothing working
No the one marked "Gauge" (10A), driver's side (on both LHD and RHD). The illumination is on a separate fuse, so yes it would still light up if the Gauge fuse has blown.
