Ok, bear with me here...:o

My MR2 has Rota gt-r silver and polished wheels
(staggered) 17"x9J front 17"x9.5J rear.
They came with the car and I am aware that the front 9J is far to wide for an MR2, however.. I love the wheels and they don't do an 8J in the same style Sad

So, have a coilover suspension , thus no issues with tyre rubbing now. Tyres on the rear are currently 245/40/17 and the front 215/40/17.

Ok, with me still ? cool.. moving on...

Going to fit Abflug arches to the car and have inner arch cut etc so I have loads of clearance and an agressive look.

My concerns are..

Offsets are agressively wrong been ET 30 front and the rear ET 25

I want to fit a wider tyre to the front, as a 215 is far to thin,
so looking at 225 or possibly a 235 "if" this remains balanced with the rears been 245 or should they become 255 ?

Adding to the equation, i am looking at fitting hubcentric spacers front and rear.. 20mm to the front and 50mm to the rear. This hopefully bringing alloys out to fill new Abflug arches

Advice, thoughts .. am on the right track, will the wheeels just fall off or what Confusedhock:

Those spacers will kill your cars handling.

You should keep spaces to a max of 15mm - 20mm

Or the whole car balance will be out, just my opinion.

I would recommend spacer be used only to 10mm

Which coilovers do you have?

I have TEIN Flex Coilovers with TEIN Pillowball Top Mounts.

I know that the spacers are big, but these are the actualy spacers used for TRD bodykits, so I was hoping they wouldn't unbalance the car to much.

My worry is if i dont have the right spacers the alloys would look odd and sit to far in from the Abflugs..

So, overall, trying to get best advice to have the best possible balance on handling and at least then i can make the right desicions before any work is done

50mm spacer? You gotta thing of the load on the bearings, studs etc. Personally Id just get wider, lower offset rims
