The only problem is, I want to keep the standard headunit. I have seen that I will need a speaker to RCA adaptor lead, Which I will get in the week But which wires on the back of the radio do I need to splice into? (Eg, Remote wire, speaker and earth wires.)
Also is there a spare gromet in the bulkhead to put a battery wire through from the battery?
Any help is much appreciated.
Found a sub and amp in the loft so save it going to waste i'm going to stick it in the lexus.

If you go for the LCi6 you will be able to add whatever you want to your system, amp speakers subs etc and keep 100% OEM functionality. I had one in the Prius and can't say enough good things about it.
The OEM head unit also plays with the sound your radio, CD's and MP3's make so the higher the volume the more it pulls back the bass, this is to ensure the speakers last the life of the vehicle, but lowers your bass, there are ways round this but not cheap, the JL Epicentre is an example, or the one I use is the Hifonics BXi Pro 1.0 again the difference is amazing. You don't know what you have lost until you find it again.
So in short, rca adaptors are OK but you won't get great bass due to the way Toyota (and 99% of manufacturers) build their head-units.
There is the JL Clean sweep this is great BUT you can't use your OEM volume adjustment buttons, you have to use their knob, this effectively removes the pulling back of the bass effect that the head-unit does.

07-03-2018, 07:44 AM #2there are cheap ways i.e. RCA adaptors or the expensive (proper) ways, of doing it - for example if you use an Audio Control LCi6, or the rather excellent JL Clean sweep.

The wires you need to splice into are the bass wires supplying the rear speakers if using RCA's. The rear speakers are 2 in 1 units, not normal 6*9's!!
