Cheers mate, not sure all this seems worth it to save £5 a month.........especially seeing as those dreamboxes are quite expensive themselves.

i did this with sky, bought a sky+ box n they just switched it on

if you buy a virgin box with a card, split the upstairs cable in 2 and hook it all up, ring virgin tell them you bought a second hand box, switch it on please and they will
saves you box/installation cost directly from them

There's no cost for the box with Virgin, and I'm sure as we've been long term customers they'd waive the installation too, especially seeing as the cable's already there. I was just trying to find a way around the £5 monthly fee
