Right they came and installed it today and got to say im pretty impressed.

My laptop has a standard Network G card.

They provided a N router and N USB Adaptor.

Now I tried via my normal card from laptop and only hit 22Mb/s with some research I have realised the full speed is only achieved when you use N.

So I have to use the USB dongle they provided (free) to get the full speed.

I downloaded Spooks Episode 2 from BBC Iplayer obviously using they servers, the file size is 562MB, it was downloaded in 1 minutes 3 secs, coming out to about 8MB/s which is more then what I pay for.

I downloaded Episode 3 of season 2 of The Closer from Rapidshare links, this done in 58 secs, the file size was 349MB, coming out 6MB/s which is what I pay for

I started to download a Blueray movie (Robin Hood) totalling 3.5GB but my laptop crashed whilst simitansly trying to download like 20 files lol

But I will try again and see what I get, please bear in mind the above results were achieved via Firefox's own download software built in and not download accelerators, but I will be exprimenting with them as wel..

Update whilst I was typing this, i did a speed check

This morning when he installed it I got:

Then this afternoon I tried it and got:

Now I tried it and got:

not sure whats going on, but will update....

Gord Good, having mine fitted on 14th October :thumbup1:

Did you get the 165 cashback from Quidco??

Mine has already been validated which is suprising as it normally takes months to get to validated from tracking and should be in my account this friday or next monday !

33 per month for 3 months then 38 per month, not taking into consideration the 165 cashback

Right im getting more and more impressed by the day,

I was downloading Robin Hood 1080p version all 15 GB of it, and i used Jdownloader (a download manager) and with 4 files at the same time, i was downloading at 14.8MB/s

yes thats 14.8 megabytes not bits per second !!!

More then double the speed I pay for, so yes I think virgin are ready for 100Mb/s which they already talking about !

But I get it for about 15 mins then it goes back !
