Trying to fit pc2-92-4 amp bypass lead
Trying to fit pc2-92-4 amp bypass lead
I need Help.
I have a is200 se year 2000 and replacing the factory fitted head unit.
I purchased an amp by pass lead from autoleads part no. pc2-92-4 as on my car i have the seperate amp to left of glove box.
I have removed plug from back of amp and then connected to the amp by pass lead. However looking at the end that plugs into the aftermarket stereo (ISO plug) there is only an earth (black) and permant 12v (yellow wire) going into it. I now that there should be a red wire(switching 12v) and orange wire (illumination).
The odd thing is that there is two wires that come from the amp plug on the bypass harness that say sub+ and sub-.
Do i have to take a 12v switch supply off something else or the wrong lead in the packet?:confused:
There should be more than 2 wires in the iso plug. That's for sure. Got any pics?

If it helps, i just had one of these with the same problem. 2 yellow wires in to the permant live.
Luckily i had an old iso plug that i nicked the red wire out of and found an ign live for it.
Something to watch for though.
