Going on "holiday" for a bit.................
Learning interesting things mate.
Will be another month before the visa issues we have are ironed out - at least.
look forward too hearing all about it when it becomes declassified information then
Its not exactly "classified" but I prefer to not say until this ****** visa is done.
Everything we have done for this application may have been for nothing because the government body that decides what passes and what does not, changed the rules on the 1st Sep 2011 - of course they are allowed to change things without notice, and our final application was sent the day before - so we don't know if it is a done deal for 3 to 6 more weeks depending on exactly what else they want from us or will they use the old rules or the new ones. Our lawyer believes they are removing loopholes for under qualified applications, we have a very strong case as we are spending way over the minimum and are purchasing a very well known franchise one with over 90% brand recognition in the USA but there may be extra things we need to do to get approval that were not apparent when this whole process started. Stressed is not the word - I don't think there is a word that describes what we are going through.
thats fair enough, hope they can process it all quickly for you, then you can start to enjoy it properly
no.
The business is fine, no worries there, it's the legal merry go round that's so impossible.
You are on the seahorse and you think it's fine and then you find out you should have been riding on the panda all along.
Think that USA visas only come from the un-obtanium mine along with hens teeth and rocking horse poooooooooooo.
Am making a doll of our legal help to insert pins into at night - and he is one of the better attorneys, hate to see what a rubbish one would do?
Sorry to hear it not going to plan , just have another holiday and all will work out for you two
Still having legal issues the Yanks love changing the rules and moving goal posts. If we file for the visa back in the UK it will 99.9% go through, but the extra cost and the 10 week minimum wait/processing time may very well cost us the business, so we just have to hope and pray the 2nd time round filing goes through otherwise we will have to go the outlaw xmas party as we will not bother staying out here, the risks are too huge financially - there is a time to play the game and a time to fold, normally I gamble but not this time.
On the plus side we finish our months training on Thursday and are now 100% qualified to run the business this will go in our favour with the embassy. The training was tough and hard, so much to learn in a short space of time but well worth it - really if we do come home then the training alone would have been worth the cost of being out here as it is applicable to so many other business's we may decide to run.
Not a positive update sorry.
