Yup. It looks like Janspeed done precious little apart from fit a sports cat and an exhaust to the car.

Out of curioustiy I will email Janspeed and see if they have any history on the car. I have documents to show it was owned by Mark Vaughan, the MD. I'll let you know what I get back, if anything from them.

James S That system is interesting edeath, would it be advantageous to have the valve open all the time? Or would it cause problems with the ecu?

No the longer path gives you increased torque at low RPMs but the shorter length gives more top end power. Best left as is :-)

Was Supercharged Racing Green IS200 Sport. Now APR Stage 1 Seat Leon Cupra (220 Bhp).

Just a further update on the progress of this project.

I contacted Janspeed about any history or information on the car but got no response. Great service there Janspeed.

I got a new supercharger belt and got it fitted on saturday. Real good fit and it has made a difference in eliminating some flat spots and hesitation that were apparent when the charger was under load.

This was the one that came on the car. Confusedhock:

This is the charger in her new home. I like to think I rescued this increasingly rare kit from ending up in the breakers through neglect and abuse.

Janspeed car returned to standard and engine bay given a much needed clean.

I gave the rest of the car a good clean up too. Still a bit rough but an improvement on before.

Someone was good enough to add some racing stripes down the side with a key.

Next and final step is to get the Janspeed car off to the auctions. I was hoping to clean it up and sell it privately but the scrapes down the doors has knocked a considerable value off the car so I'm just going to let it go at auction this week and hopefully get a few quid out of it. Fingers crossed!

They are deep enough and run down the length of both doors so would be very hard to blend properly. To be honest the car is dog rough on the outside and needs a lot of marks, dings and dents taken out. I've no real interest in the car and it needs a lot of work to bring it up.

I only paid £1500 for the car with the charger, if I get anything remotely near that at auction I'll be a very happy chap!

You, unfortunately, wont get anything close to £1500 for the car at auction I'm afraid.

Yeah, you're probably right. I've no real concern as to what I get for the car. I got the supercharger, that's what I wanted. Even if I only get £500 for the car that means I got a supercharger for £1000. That's a bargain in anyone's book as these things change hands at a much higher premium.
