well asda called me for a group interview this morning which went ok, and just waiting to see if i get invited to the one to one interview, they said we'll let you know in next 72 hours.

Well overtime, Ive done so far 26 hours of overtime with a view of doing 46 for the whole week. And they also changed the policy to draw more people, now if I do more then 25 hours in ONE month, then all my overtime upto 25 and over will be automatic double, so ive done 26 this week so far, so ive hit the threshold, now that 26 will be double along with the rest of overtime till 30 september

things are looking good for once

Well done mate! Always good when things work out.

Company i work for doesn't pay overtime so i can't earn anymore cash, they give time off in lue which i don't mind as it gives me time to work on the buggy. Plus i know exactly what i am going to get paid each month.

Last company i worked for was a pain in the ass. They wanted as much over time as i could work! I was working a 80-90 hour week for about 7 months and they started getting shitty with me as i was taking home alot of money each month. I started doing less hours and then they complained that i wasn't pulling my weight :Chair:

Then they put a stop on all overtime, which i didn't mind too much as i did all my hours in 3 days then had a 4 day weekend each week. Then one week i did 1 hour overtime which resulted in saving the company nearly £30,000 and they had a huge go at me for doing the 1 hour over my normal contract. Thats when i handed my notice in! Big Grin

All i would say is be very carefull doing alot of overtime, make sure you don't take on too much and hopefully the company is not as **** as the one i was working for!

Mr Mole So when you buying a Lexus mate ??

I wish, really do, but the money will be going towards my insurance renewal which is aprox 1500-1800, my 8k debt and the money i owed to my sister.

Hopefully by the new year my debt will be reduced by about 60%, insurance paid off for the year, which means ill save about 500-600 per month, of which can go on the rest of the debt.

I planned to get a lexus in autumn 2010, but this can change to spring/summer if the overtime continues, i do the work and the company doesnt **** on me

Marsdendean A lexus will be nice and cheep then, not unless your aiming at an IS250!

I pay £135 a month to insure my Lexus, But the mrs has had bump, and i had a bump which wasnt my fault!

Glad things are going OK at last. Just shows that things can go bad for a very long time, you feel like the worlds against you, but then somehow everything works out ok!

yh hopefully there nice and cheap, so i can get the spec i would like for not a high price hopefully, would love a IS250, but the inusrance would be just too much !

If i dont pay the whole thing off when my renewal i reckon mine will be like 150 per month with the two claims ive had and thats on the astra not a lexus ! lol, so i want to shop around, thing is if i bought a new policy its like 600 deposit then interest on top, so if i can with the money i hope to pay it all off at once, and then not rely on my income for next year to pay the insurance.
