Not had any problem with 8000K myself - been pulled by the police once using the excuse of "my headlights being bright" but it was more to do with the fact that he wanted to see who was in the car as he wasn't even the slightest bit interested in finding out anything about the lights :laugh:
Only problem I've had with the MOT is that my dealer got a new machine and the beam scatter failed last year only (prior to that it passed every year) - but this would be a problem with any HID, it isn't specific to the colour temp.
I'm looking to swap to 4300K now though, all the idiots in golfs and corsas now have 8000K (round here anyway) so trying to distance myself from them and go for a more OEM look :laugh:

What's the best plan now? Looking at the HIDs direct site as mentioned earlier, are their products decent quality? Could just replace the ballast for £20 then........
However, a whole new 50W kit from them just costs £64 - given this one just failed, there is the possibility that the other may fail as soon as replace this one - in which case I may as well just replace the whole lot, especially as I wanted to change bulb colour anyway........
What do you all recommend? And who should I buy from?

Just popped out during lunch and swapped them over, driver's side still doesn't work - checked fuses and they're fine, so must be the ballast?
