Discs & Pads
The discs are only a little over a year old, and cant have done more that 5000 miles. They will be fine mate, no need to spend money for the sake of it. Just get a new set of pads, as the current ones will be heat cycled from the caliper being stuck on.
As i said about the refurb, you will struggle to do this at yours with the tools available. I should know! When your ready pull the calipers off and bring them to mine. We can refurb them and then get it all fitted up nicely. The best time to repaint the calipers is when they are all stripped down, makes life so much easier.
Marsdendean I think my disks have been on for a whilte, but can you easily check if the need doing?

I think my disks are still the originals and have done 95k they still feel fine but will need changing eventually if you don't brake too heavy then your disks should last a long time you can tell by just runing your finger up the disk (when cold) if it feels bumpy rahter than smooth then it's on it's way out also if there is a lip at the edge of the disk then it's starting to ware down, pads are really easy to change 10-15 mins a side no prob, I have mintex on mine which stop great but are really really dusty, if your happy with OEM grade pads then go for Blueprint they are really good as a alternative to OEM jap parts.
Rabster if your pads look like this you have problems
